Welcome to the Western Spirit Website

The West Metro Region (Region 9) is made up of cricket clubs and schools that lie in the municipalities of Maribyrnong, Wyndham, Melton, Brimbank and Hobsobs Bay.

Over 60 clubs are located within the region and are alligned to the following associations:

West Metropolitan Junior Cricket Association
Melton Junior Cricket Association
North West Cricket Association

The region is also made up of clubs that are alligned to:

Victorian Sub District Cricket Association
Victorian Turf Cricket Association
Victorian Premier Cricket (Footscray Edgewater CC)
Victorian Women's Cricket Association (Altona North CC, Spotswood CC, & Williamstown CC)

Who are the Western Spirit?

Each season the West Metro Region enters U14, U16 and U18 male and female teams into the state championships as the 'Western Spirit.' These teams are made up of players that live within the West - Metro region.
